Our Breeding Philosophy

At 206 Doods, our mission is simple: to raise exceptional puppies with sound temperaments, strong foundations, and a smooth transition into their forever homes.

We are a small, in-home breeder based in Grandview, Texas, and every puppy we raise is part of our daily life. Our dogs are never raised in a kennel environment—each puppy is born and nurtured inside our home, surrounded by the sights, sounds, and routines of a real family. From day one, they receive constant love, attention, and hands-on care.

Our puppies are raised alongside our children, which plays a huge role in their development. This daily interaction helps create well-socialized, confident puppies that are comfortable with people, noise, and everyday activity. We believe this early exposure sets the foundation for a well-adjusted family companion.

We are committed to early neurological development and intentional training. All of our puppies participate in:

• ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation)

• ENI (Early Neurological Introduction)

These proven methods help strengthen the puppy’s neurological system, improve stress tolerance, and enhance overall health and adaptability.

We take a proactive approach to each puppy’s health and development from the very beginning. Puppies are dewormed at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks of age to ensure they get the best possible start. Alongside their health care, we focus on building comfort and confidence through weekly baths and gentle grooming, helping them become familiar with handling and routine care early on. We also incorporate sound desensitization, exposing puppies to everyday household noises in a positive way so they grow into well-adjusted, confident companions ready for life in their new homes.

Between six to eight weeks, each puppy begins structured early training. During this time, we focus on:

• Basic manners and routine

• Stay, sit, down and come commands

• Bell training, teaching puppies to signal when they need to go outside

Our goal is to give every family a head start—sending home puppies that are not only healthy and beautiful, but also confident, responsive, and ready to continue learning.
